On August 15, 1969, the mother of all concerts began in Bethel, New York.
It was billed as 3 days of peace and music.
It was Woodstock.
To this day, nothing in music has topped it.
Half a million people packed in on a dairy farm in the rain.
They were the flower power generation.
They grooved to a beat all their own.
Legendary acts entertained them.
It is interesting to note that there were no reported acts of violence the entire time.
It really was 3 days of peace and music.
The site is preserved today.
In three years, it will be fifty years since Woodstock.
Hard to believe.
I hope something great is done to honor it.
